Who handles your data

What we collect and why

Enquiries through the forms. The forms on this site (weddings, exclusive use, contact) do not send anything to a server: they compose a message in your own email program or in WhatsApp, and you send it. Whatever you choose to enter — name, email, phone, dates, number of guests, language and your message — reaches us as an ordinary email to info@giardinidiluce.com or as a WhatsApp message. We use it only to answer you and, if a stay follows, to manage it. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Technical browsing data. Like any website, ours is served by a hosting provider that records technical data (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and to keep the service running. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do no profiling and take no automated decisions.

Where the data stays, and for how long

Enquiries received by email stay in the property’s mailbox and are not transferred to any other tool or management system. We keep them for as long as needed to answer and to manage any resulting stay, and for the legal obligations that follow from it; after that they are deleted. You can ask for deletion at any time.

Who can see the data

Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a company based in the United States. Technical browsing data is transferred under the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR.

WhatsApp. If you choose to write to us on WhatsApp, your message is also processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under its own notice.

Bookings. Bookings are made on the Amenitiz booking engine, a separate service that handles booking and payment data under its own notice, available on its pages.

Google Maps. The map in the “Location” section does not load by itself: it appears only if you press “Show the map”, after a notice. From that moment your browser connects to Google’s servers, and Google handles data under its own notice. If you do not press, nothing goes to Google.

We do not pass your data to anyone else and we do not sell it.

Cookies

This site uses no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. There is nothing to accept or decline. Fonts are served from our own server, not from external services. The only third-party content is the Google map, which loads only at your request as described above.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format or object to its processing, by writing to info@giardinidiluce.com. If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it) or to the authority of your own country.

Updates

This notice may be updated when the site or its services change. The date of the last revision is shown at the top of the page.
